Super decisions: step by step guide through the super maze ...

Under the 'superannuation guarantee', an employer must pay 9% of your earnings. Most people's 9% is based on 'ordinary time earnings', which under the law means earnings for your ordinary hours of work. Superannuation for casual employees is payable once the gross wage in any calendar month is greater than $450.00. To understand how super works we have provided a link to an Australian Government website - click here.
